Terms of use

Saarthi Launchpad (“Launchpad”) is operated by SMEMINDS LLP, Surat, Gujarat, India (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you create an account or enrol in a course. Please read them with the refund policy and the privacy notice, which form part of them.

1. What you are buying

You pay for training: access to the common AI core and the domain course you choose, Saarthi as your AI coach, and whatever else your plan lists on the checkout page when you pay (for example live projects, a supervised practicum, and 1:1 sessions with a mentor or an industry expert). What your plan listed when you paid is what we owe you, even if the plan changes later.

The price shown includes GST and is the total you pay; checkout shows the GST in it before you pay, and you get a GST tax invoice in your account. It is a single payment for one course. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

2. What Launchpad is not

• It is a training programme, not employment and not an internship. The practicum is supervised training, not a job.
• We do not promise a job, a placement, an interview, a stipend or any level of pay. A stipend or a pre-placement interview may be offered to top performers. These are decided on merit by people, are free, are never sold and are never guaranteed.
• Your certificate is a certificate of completion from Saarthi Launchpad. It states the course, the hours logged and the projects graded. It is not a degree, diploma or a qualification recognised by UGC, AICTE or any university, and it does not certify work experience.
• Academic credit is your institution’s decision. Where a college has signed an MoU with us, it decides whether and how to award credit.

3. Your access period and the exam pause

• Your access period starts on the day you pay. Checkout shows the exact deadline before you pay.
• You may pause once per enrolment, for exams, for up to 15 days. While paused, the course is closed. When you resume, your deadline moves out by the days you were paused, up to 15; days paused beyond that count against your access period.
• When your access period ends, the course locks: lessons, labs and Saarthi close for that course. Your portfolio page and any certificate you earned stay live.

4. The practicum and 1:1 sessions

If your plan includes the four-week supervised practicum, we will offer you a place within your access period. Practicum work is learning-oriented, uses anonymised or synthetic data, and starts with a short confidentiality and IP agreement. If your plan includes 1:1 mentor or expert sessions, you request them from your course within your access period. If we fail to deliver the practicum or a session, the refund policy says what we refund, and we do it without you having to ask.

5. Your account, and students under 18

Keep your sign-in details private; your account is for you alone. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent before you can enrol, and by giving it they accept these terms on your behalf. A purchase for a student under 18 is made by, or with the consent of, that parent or guardian.

6. AI in Launchpad

Saarthi, the coach, is an AI. It can be wrong, so check what it tells you, as the course teaches. Lesson films are narrated with an AI voice over visuals made with AI tools and checked by our team. Saarthi reviews project drafts first, but a person signs off every grade that counts towards a certificate, stipend or interview decision, and you can appeal any grade.

7. Honest work

Launchpad teaches you to use AI openly. Each project says how AI may be used and asks you to disclose it. Submitting someone else’s work as your own, or misusing a sandbox or dataset, can lead to a grade being withdrawn or a certificate being revoked. A revoked certificate shows as revoked on its verification page. You can appeal any grade or decision by writing to support@smeminds.com.

8. Data in your projects

Course datasets are anonymised or synthetic. Do not try to re-identify anyone in them, and do not upload anyone else’s personal data.

9. Your work and your portfolio

You own what you create. You give us permission to store it, grade it and show it on your portfolio page. You can make your portfolio private at any time from your account; it starts private for students under 18.

10. Tools from other companies

Courses teach tools made by other companies, under their own terms. Launchpad is not endorsed by or affiliated with them. Every lab has a free path or a sandbox we host, so you never need a paid subscription for a lab.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. A change never takes away anything from a course you have already paid for.

12. Liability

We work hard to keep Launchpad accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that protects you.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission where you live or work.

Who we are, and how to complain

For help with your account, a course or a refund, write to support@smeminds.com. If you are not satisfied, or your complaint is about your personal data, write to our Grievance Officer, Maheshwariba Yadav, at ecommerce@smeminds.com. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours with a reference number and a copy of the complaint as we recorded it, and resolve it within 30 days of receiving it.

You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915, or consumerhelpline.gov.in), and nothing here limits your right to approach a consumer commission where you live. For a complaint about your personal data you may go to the Data Protection Board of India once you have used our grievance process.
