P3· Pharmacy and health sciences

Health-product Compliance & Pharma E-commerce

You learn to check supplement, ayurveda and OTC wellness listings against Indian claim and labelling rules, with AI doing the first pass and a qualified reviewer signing off every call.

Who it is for
BPharm and PharmD students who want to work where pharmacy meets online retail: wellness brands, marketplace catalogue teams and regulatory desks for OTC and nutraceutical products. You should have finished the common AI core. This course adds to, and never replaces, your PCI-mandated practice school or industrial training.

03Syllabus

What you will learn, in order.

Lesson films are narrated with an AI voice, over visuals made with AI tools and checked by our team. Saarthi, the coach, is an AI. Mentors and reviewers are people.

Part 1 · The AI core, shared by every stream

00Set up your coach1 hLearn how the core works, write the learning-context document that tells every AI tool who you are, and set Saarthi up as a coach that makes you think instead of thinking for you.
  1. How this core works6 min
  2. Write your learning-context document8 min
  3. Seven roles for AI, and study modes7 min
01How LLMs work and fail2.5 hBuild a working mental model of a large language model: tokens, prediction, context windows and memory. Then learn its predictable failures (hallucination, sycophancy, stale knowledge, bad arithmetic) and reproduce them yourself.
  1. Tokens and next-word prediction7 min
  2. Context windows and memory7 min
  3. Hallucination, sycophancy and other failures8 min
  4. Lab: one prompt, three models, five failures8 min
02Description and context engineering3.5 hWrite briefs that get the right output the first time: role, task, context, examples and format. Then make them reusable with Claude and ChatGPT Projects, Gemini Gems, custom GPTs and NotebookLM, and learn to work with PDFs, spreadsheets and images.
  1. The brief: role, task, context, format8 min
  2. Examples and output formats7 min
  3. Projects in Claude and ChatGPT8 min
  4. Gems, custom GPTs and NotebookLM8 min
  5. Working with files: PDFs, spreadsheets, images8 min
03Verify everything2.5 hCheck AI output the way fact-checkers do: lateral reading, tracing citations and numbers to the original, using deep-research modes without trusting them blindly, and testing a prompt properly with a 10-case golden set.
  1. Lateral reading7 min
  2. Checking citations and numbers8 min
  3. Deep-research modes: use and limits7 min
  4. Your first eval: a 10-case golden set8 min
04Connectors and MCP2 hConnect AI to the places your work lives (Drive, Gmail, Sheets, business data) without writing code. Learn what an MCP server is, why a reviewed directory differs from unreviewed community servers, how to grant the least access that works, and how to keep browser extensions on a short leash.
  1. What connectors and MCP are8 min
  2. Trust, least privilege and the reviewed directory8 min
  3. Browser extensions and AI browsers7 min
  4. Lab: ask the seller-data MCP server, check every answer8 min
05Agents and automations3.5 hHand multi-step work to AI safely. Tell an agent from an automation, decide what to delegate, use browser and coding agents with care, and build an n8n workflow that uses AI with a human-approval step before anything leaves the system.
  1. Agents vs automations: what to delegate8 min
  2. Browser agents, safely7 min
  3. Automation basics with n8n and Zapier8 min
  4. Lab: build an automation with a human-approval step8 min
  5. Failure modes and your failure-mode note7 min
06AI for learning and careers1.5 hUse AI to learn faster without outsourcing the learning, write applications that still sound like you, and practise interviews out loud with Saarthi.
  1. Learning with AI, not instead of learning7 min
  2. Applications in your own voice7 min
  3. Mock interview with Saarthi8 min
07Diligence: law, ethics, integrity2.5 hThe rules that apply when you use AI in India: the DPDP Act 2023 and its 2025 Rules, academic integrity and disclosure, copyright (including where Indian law is still unsettled), and bias. You finish by writing your own AI-use policy.
  1. DPDP Act 2023: personal data and AI8 min
  2. Academic integrity and disclosure7 min
  3. Copyright and AI in India8 min
  4. Bias and fairness7 min
  5. Write your personal AI-use policy7 min
08Core capstone1 hPut all four Ds together on one anonymised marketplace settlement file: ask good questions, automate one step, verify every number against Saarthi's P&L engine, and defend your work live in five minutes.
  1. The capstone brief6 min
  2. Lab: ask, automate, verify8 min
  3. Prepare your 5-minute defence7 min

Part 2 · Health-product Compliance & Pharma E-commerce

01The regulatory map for health products sold online2 lessonsWork out what a product legally is before you judge what it says: drug, AYUSH drug, FSSAI nutraceutical, cosmetic or device, and which rulebook follows from that.
  1. What is this product, legally?14 min
  2. Lab: classify 15 wellness listings by regulator25 min
02Claim types and red flags2 lessonsSort every sentence on a listing into disease, structure-function, general wellness or nutrient-content claims, and learn the words that should stop you.
  1. The four kinds of health claim15 min
  2. Lab: build a red-flag lexicon and claim tagger25 min
03Labels and listing declarations2 lessonsCheck that what the pack must say, the listing actually shows: Legal Metrology declarations online and the statements FSSAI requires on supplement labels.
  1. What the pack and the listing must declare14 min
  2. Lab: listing-versus-label declaration check25 min
04Evidence, advertising codes and safer copy2 lessonsLearn what counts as substantiation, how the ASCI Code and the consumer law treat health claims, and how to rewrite risky copy without inventing new claims.
  1. Substantiation and the advertising rulebooks15 min
  2. Lab: rewrite risky claims with an evidence log25 min
05Building the claim-checking agent2 lessonsWire the lexicon, the prompts and the catalogue together into an agent that drafts findings, never publishes, and hands every decision to a named human.
  1. Designing an agent that cannot approve itself15 min
  2. Lab: the checker pipeline on the sandbox30 min
06Measuring the checker and running it for real2 lessonsTest your checker against a human-labelled gold set, count what it misses and what it over-flags, and write the operating procedure a team could follow.
  1. False positives, false negatives and the gold set15 min
  2. Lab: score your checker and write the SOP30 min
04Live projects

Two briefs. Real-shaped work.

  1. Project 1

Compliance checker for supplement and ayurveda listing claims

Build a claim-checking workflow for health supplement and ayurvedic product listings on marketplaces. It reads each listing's title, bullets, description and image text, classifies the product's likely regulatory category, tags every claim by type, flags DMR Act scheduled diseases and other red flags, and writes draft findings with reasons to a review sheet. It never edits or publishes a listing. You then measure it against a gold set you labelled blind, fix what it gets wrong, and hand over an SOP that names the human who signs off. This is a teaching exercise, not legal advice.

    You hand in

    • A working checker (n8n workflow export or a documented Sheets-plus-prompt pipeline) that writes DRAFT findings only
    • A red-flag lexicon of at least 40 terms with Hinglish variants and a reason for each
    • A blind-labelled gold set of at least 40 synthetic listings with your labels and reasons
    • A confusion table with precision and recall before and after one round of fixes, plus an error analysis of every miss
    • A one-page SOP covering scope, escalation, sign-off and what the checker must never do
    • A 3-minute recorded walkthrough for the viva

Data: Synthetic supplement and ayurveda listings from the Saarthi sandbox (no real brands, no real sellers), plus synthetic label transcripts. No real customer or seller data.. Reviewed by Saarthi against a published rubric, signed off by a mentor.

  2. Project 2

Label-and-claims audit of 20 wellness SKUs

Audit 20 wellness SKUs from the anonymised Saarthi seller catalogue (frozen dataset version). For each SKU, check that the listing shows every mandatory Legal Metrology declaration and that it matches the label transcript, and review every claim against its category's rules. Use AI to extract and pre-check, then verify every finding yourself. Your counts of missing declarations, mismatches and high-risk claims per SKU are compared automatically with the Saarthi engine's reference output for the same dataset version, and your written findings are graded against the rubric.

    You hand in

    • An audit sheet with one row per SKU per declaration and per claim, showing listing value, label value, status and evidence
    • A per-SKU summary in the required CSV format: sku_id, missing_declarations, mismatches, high_risk_claims, overall_risk
    • A findings report with one finding per issue: SKU, rule, evidence, risk, suggested fix and reviewer decision
    • A log of AI extraction errors you caught and corrected
    • A one-page memo to the (synthetic) seller ranking the five most urgent fixes in plain language

Data: Anonymised Saarthi seller catalogue, wellness category, frozen dataset version published with the brief: 20 SKUs with listing fields and label transcripts. Seller and brand identities removed.. Reviewed by Saarthi against a published rubric, signed off by a mentor.

05Practise out loud

In voice mock interviews and client calls, Saarthi plays: Ritika Shenoy, founder of a (fictional) Mangaluru ayurveda D2C brand selling a churna, a hair oil and a 'sugar balance' capsule on two marketplaces. Sales are flat and a competitor's listing says 'controls diabetes naturally', so she wants her copy to be 'just as bold' by the weekend. She is warm, fast-talking, mixes English and Kannada, pushes back with 'everyone does it' and 'my grandmother's recipe works', and asks you to tell her exactly which words she can use. She respects someone who explains the risk plainly, offers safer copy that still sells, and is clear that a qualified reviewer, not you alone, signs off.

On plans that include mock interviews. You get written feedback after every call.
